14 Life Lessons I Would Like to Know

Occasionally, I remember my thirty-year-old self and cringe, but then I think,

“If you don’t think your thirty-year-old self was stupid, you’re probably stupid now.”

It comforts me in a way. But if I could travel back ten years, I wish I had known these 14 lessons.

  1. It’s not about you; it’s about others: you work for them. It’s not about being the best for fame and wealth. It’s about providing a better service. To do that, think of the audience first, then the product, not vice versa. Because if you do it the other way around, by the time you build an audience, your product may already be obsolete. So, the best thing to do is to take a genuine interest in people, and as you grow your audience and as you go along, you can create some solutions to their problems. And then offer it to them.
  2. Don’t do market research. The best market research is failure. Consistency eventually overcomes talent, so… fail, evaluate, fail again, and so on until you find the key to what works. And then repeat what works over and over again. Don’t be afraid to saturate the market. You are a drop in the ocean of information; you must make yourself heard.
